Before I even begin this discussion, let me clarify one thing: I am not referring in any way to anyone who has ever served as a babysitter for our daughter. This was just something that someone else brought up, and I thought it would be interesting for us to discuss.

Now, with that disclaimer out of the way: Is it ever okay for the babysitter to bend the rules to keep your child or children happy?

As a father and husband, the headline to this Redbook Magazine article definitely caught my attention. As I looked at the list of so-called secrets, some of them were obvious, but others surprised me a little bit.

But, believe it or not, there are real courses that are just as ridiculous being offered for credit at alleged institutions of higher learning throughout the country... like the colleges offering classes based on a popular series of teen vampire stories.
