Weary, shattered. Our daughter (now 20) chose to walk away from God and her relationship with Jesus about 4½-5 years ago and is on a very dark path, doing things to sabotage her future that was once so full of promise. She has so many God-given talents from Him and her birth parents (incredibly smart, amazing vocabulary, absorbs books like it's her favorite meal, musically gifted, excels in pretty much every sport she played, and threw away college opportunities that continued to be presented well after her downward spiral). She now sits in jail for a misdemeanor and everyone in her new circle believe she's mentally challenged beyond hope and court is set for 8/19. They are all looking for drugs and institutions as the "fix" when we know that she (like all of us) needs to surrender her heart back to Jesus, in full repentance, and receive His forgiveness and love. We know only God can change a person's heart, and we are praying for Him to answer our prayers for our beautiful girl from heaven, and to bring us peace as we continue walking through this firestorm from the enemy. Thank you.
