When NOT to Shop the Dollar Store

I am ALL about saving money, and if there's something at the dollar store, of all places, for $1 or less, I'm on it. But, thanks to a recent column, some things may not be that great to buy at our favorite money-saver hotspot. Not Bad Purchases: ~Party Supplies ~Drawing Paper ~Notebook Paper ~Most cleaning products   Avoid if possible ~Electrical Cords (could be pretty un-safe) ~Children’s toys (unless you’re okay with them breaking very soon) ~Some food ~Make-up   What purchase do you REGRET making from the Dollar Store?
