Evening Show Recap: July 17th

This rain has been crazy, can we agree?! But then again, after quite a dry spell, some natural nourishment for the plants and lawns across East Texas is always a nice thing. Besides the weather being a little whacked-out, it seems like some in our community are going through their own personal roller-coaster ride in life:

*Mail Theft is happening to those in the Lindale area. Officials are reporting numerous cases of mail theft occurring, mainly with outgoing mail. For the next week or so, Lindale residents are being asked to take any important mail (checks, bills, etc.) to the actual post office instead of leaving it in your mailbox for pick-up.

*OPINION TIME: Asked this earlier on our Facebook page, but want to know what you think if you missed it. The band is called All Things New, a group of 20-something’s from Florida, and I would love to know what you think about their new song, “Washed Over Me.”

*Late News for Some: The Twinkie is BACK! That’s right, after months without the golden cake, the Twinkie came back to shelves on Monday…with a longer shelf life. You’re probably thinking the same thing I did when I heard it: “Twinkies have an expiration date?!?!”

Sidewalk Prophets

*Wrapping-up some serious Christmas-in-July stuff, Sidewalk Prophets really felt the spirit of the holiday yesterday. A whole day of shooting some photos for their new Christmas album, the band can’t wait to share the music with all

*A few on this list of new RECALLS, so you may want to make a list:
  1. The Thermobaby Bath Seat company’s Aquababy Bath Ring seat–it’s presented as a drowning hazard because of the way it can tip over
  2. Mecca Brand’s long-sleeved boys jacket with drawstrings that have toggles on the inside and hem of the neckline area. You could either remove the drawstring or take the jacket back.
  3. Kenmore dehumidifiers that were manufactured between 2003-2005 are posing an overheating problem.
