Carrie Parsons 89.5 KVNE Mornings
My husband and I love camping. One of our favorite parts is enjoying God’s beauty: the lakes, the wildlife, and the hiking. We are so blessed here in East Texas to have some beautiful state parks. You might be surprised to hear that Texas Parks and Wildlife have events to help ring in the new year.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. Psalm 96:11-12
Start your New Year in the fresh air of the great outdoors with a stroll, dog walk, polar bear plunge, or hike in your Texas State Park.
Visit the First Day Hikes page for a map of all events or the Events Calendar for a listing of all events happening Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
