We know God’s word provides peace, wisdom, and comfort. We know we can go there anytime. What we don’t know is why we let so much time go by not turning there for the answers we need!

“I’m so busy!”

If it’s a question of “I don’t have time,” allow me to recommend this bite-sized verse to pull out as often as you need. It’s short in length, yet long in perspective. Within these seventeen words are volumes of Godly direction and perspective.

As a husband, dad, grandparent, and radio guy, I have plenty of opportunities to let anxiety sneak in, which ultimately leads to fear. When I’m operating out of fear, I’m not trusting Him. If I’m not trusting Him, I’m approaching decisions and relationships in my own intuition. This is never good for anybody!

God is faithful.

When you’re feeling distant, frustrated, or even hopeless, the Bible provides just what you need, often in ways you didn’t expect! Read it! When you’re “in the moment” and you just need a quick reminder that you’ll get through this:

“He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress. I will never be shaken.” Psalm 62:2
