My family & I moved to AR from Idaho in the late fall of 2021 and before our move our daughter was a 'rink rat', for those that are shaking their heads, she was a hockey player who never missed a chance to be on the ice. But when the handling of the pandemic shut her life down in March of '20: church, school, library, and hockey, she grew extremely frustrated and angry. She still refuses help, we have tried to get her back on the ice, she won't go back to church, and we know people are praying for her and sincerely thank them. I know our God is bigger than anything the enemy can throw at her, and we're praying she will call out to God to help her. With that, this past weekend, in our old stomping grounds, a fellow hockey player was injured in a game. Below is what happened to Jackson, the post is from his team in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho -

Dear CDA Family,

As most of you have heard, on Friday night, January 24, during the CDA vs BWC 17U Prep game in Vancouver, one of our players, Jackson Drum from Alexandria, Minnesota, sustained a traumatic neck injury from a fall into the boards. He was stabilized and rushed to the hospital in Vancouver. Saturday, he underwent surgery to fuse C1 and C2 together to stabilize his neck and he is now recovering from surgery at Vancouver General Hospital.

We are waiting and praying as Jackson recovers from surgery and his healing journey begins.

Jackson is a young man of great faith, and his family has asked that we pray specifically for healing in his body.

Pray that the inflammation goes down in his spine.

Pray that he will be able to breathe on his own.

Pray that he has feeling in all extremities.

Pray that we can get him transported closer to home for his recovery journey as soon as possible.

Pray for peace over Jackson and his parents.

Jackson is part of our CDA family, and we are all standing with him in this journey. We will be supporting the Drum family however we can in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

There is a GoFundMe account set up for Jackson on through the CDAhockeyacademy Facebook page.

Thank you for taking the time to read all the way through, to pray for Jackson and his family, and my daughter, Noelani. God bless.
