She’s Starting School … and That’s Okay

You’re going to cry … and that’s okay.
She’s not going to cry … and that’s okay.

You’re going to think about her all day … and that’s okay.
She’s going to think about you once or twice … and that’s okay.

You’re going to be there way too early to pick her up … and that’s okay.
She’s finally going to break away from her new friends to go home with you … and that’s okay.

You’re going to remember and cherish this day for the rest of your life … and that’s okay.
She will forget this day by the end of the school year … and that’s okay…

… because the love you’ve given and continue to give her will grow and multiply throughout her life until one day you may just get to see her sending HER daughter off to kindergarten.

And, that is oh-so-much-more than just okay!

“Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Proverbs 22:6 NIV
