Ways to Say Thank You to Veterans

First off, can we just take a minute and say THANK YOU if you’re a Veteran! You have given so much, sometimes more of yourself than any of us could ever comprehend, and we are thankful for you truly!

There are a lot of businesses this weekend that want to say Thank You too, so here are a few deals you (and even your family) can pick-up this weekend around East Texas:

For Friday the 10th…
  • Denny’s will give a free “Build your own Grand Slam” from 5 a.m. to noon to active, inactive and retired military personnel.
  • IHOP will offer veterans and active duty military free red, white and blue pancakes.
  • Aspen Creek Grill will offer veterans and active duty military a free lunch from a selected menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday AND Saturday
  • BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse will offer a complimentary entree up to $12.95 by presenting a military ID or proof of service on Friday AND Saturday.
For Saturday the 11th (and some on Sunday)…
  • Little Caesars will offer a free $5 lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to active duty military and veterans.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings will give one small order of wings and a side of fries for free.
  • Strada Caffé will give all veterans a free brewed or iced coffee.
  • Red Lobster will offer a free appetizer or dessert from a limited menu to all veterans, active duty and reserve military.
  • Chuck E. Cheese’s will give one free personal one-topping pizza to veterans.
  • Texas de Brazil will offer a 50 percent discount on checks with up to two veterans on a check, and 20 percent off the check for up to six guest at the table during dinner.
  • Outback Steakhouse will give a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage on Nov. 11. On Nov. 12 through Nov. 16 they will give a 20 percent discount off the check to active duty military and veterans. On Nov. 17 there will be a 10 percent discount off the check.
  • Texas Roadhouse will offer a free lunch to active duty, retired or former U.S. military from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • On the Border will offer a free meal combo to retired and active members of the military.
  • Cicis Pizza will give a free pizza buffet to those with a military ID.
  • Cracker Barrel will give veterans a complimentary slice of double chocolate fudge coca cola cake.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts will give a free donut to veterans and active duty military.
  • Olive Garden will give active duty military and veterans a free meal.
  • Mercado’s will offer veterans a free soft drink and choice of an enchilada dinner, taco dinner, tamale dinner, chimichanga dinner or chalupa dinner.
  • Posados Cafe will offer veterans a free soft drink and choice of an enchilada dinner, taco dinner, tamale dinner, chimichanga dinner or chalupa dinner on Nov. 11
  • Ken’s Pizza will offer a free pizza lunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For Monday the 13th…
  • Golden Corral Military Appreciation Night: 5 to 9 p.m. The 17th annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation dinner is available to anyone who has ever served in the United States military.
For Tuesday the 14th…
  • Cotton Patch Café will give veterans a free meal from 2 to 8 p.m.
