It’s with mixed emotions that we announce our Mid Day Host/ Web Guy / IT Expert Jeff Johnson will be leaving 89.5 KVNE to pursue a new career.
Here’s what Encouragement FM President/CEO Troy Kriechbaum had to say:
“Midday host Jeff Johnson has felt God’s call to work as the Senior Communications Specialist at UT Health Northeast. While we are excited for Jeff, we are sad to see him go. During his tenure he helped elevate our level of excellence both on-the-air and on the web. His stories, humor and personality have been a blessing and encouragement to thousands each day and he will be greatly missed. His last day on-the-air is December 13th. Please pray for Jeff as he begins this new adventure. Congratulations Jeff!”
Jeff has made such an impact on this ministry. His passion for the Lord, his family, and seeing souls won to Jesus has been contagious, and he brought a high level of excellence in all he did in service to the Lord at KVNE and KGLY.
I will miss his generous spirit, his touching stories about his daughter Caroline, his clever wit, (gift of sarcasm!) and his goofy laugh around the office! I’m glad to know that he and his family will remain Tyler residents!
Go with God, Jeff! Love you, brother!
Whether it’s in the next few days or next few weeks, some traveling could be going on in your life. And while packing, there always seems to be that ONE things you forget to take along with you. Well, I’ve got 2 suggestions:
- Make a checklist of what you need to take all the time
- Think about putting these items on said checklist…
The list of everyday routines has now become implanted in your mind for eternity (or until the kids are at least out of the house). A little good news about that: the chores could have a dual purpose! Not only are they there so nothing, and no one, smells, but you could be getting some exercise out of them to. Writer and food-lover Rebecca Stokes points out some of the everyday things that could shed at least a few calories a day!
1.) Child Heaving
I’m not saying your child is a medicine ball, but don’t doubt that all that lifting and carrying is giving you some serious core strength. Continue reading →
Hairstyles, wardrobes, and even cars can go out of style really quickly in our fast-paced, ever-changing world. But some things just so happen to take on the form of a “Classic.” That can even happen in gift giving! There are the classics that always show up, making people still smile even though they may have had one every year! Here are a few Classic Christmas gifts that you know you’re expecting this year…at least once:
As we all know, Thanksgiving is coming up in, oh, 2 DAYS!! Actually, less than 2 days if you consider this Tuesday to be almost done. With all the running around like a turkey with it’s head chopped off (yep, went there), you may make a few choice mistakes that many of us do. One such mistake: ruing the stuffing! Thankfully, there are people (like Emily Abbate) who do their research, helping us correct any mistakes with this monumental side dish:
Is it a bad thing that you can’t cross your legs because the pain from your calves is excruciating? Not saying that I’m suffering from this dilemma at all this afternoon I’m typing this, but it could be a possible problem for you. And this problem could make you start to believe exercising is the work of Satan himself, causing you not to want to workout EVER again. Don’t Give Up! Instead, maybe think of the routine in a different way, and get your workout questions answered. Continue reading →
The task of making a Thanksgiving dinner is one that I have seen over my life take an emotional rollarcoaster I never thought would, or could, happen. And even though Nathan and I haven’t started a tradition of Thanksgiving at our place just yet, you can be sure that I will be helping my mom with some duty in the kitchen! But if there’s some way to help her out, or you out, I will do all I can to make things easy…and here may be some solutions.
We’re in such a digital age that it just makes sense Thanksgiving Day Apps would be designed for any tech-savvy planner. And thankfully, most of these Apps that blogger Adrianna Velez found are FREE:
