Elevation Worship, “O Come to the Altar”

This could be one song that sounds familiar because either 1 of 2 things are true: 1.) You’ve sung it at your church for a few Sundays now and/or 2.) You’ve heard it on Sunday Morning’s Shouts of Praise on KVNE. Either way, y’all have loved it in the surveys and we had to add it to our regular daily music rotation. Elevation Worship is the worship band for Elevation Church in North Carolina, calling that area home but touring also with artists like Kari Jobe, Rend Collective and Hillsong Worship!

TobyMac ft. Hollyn, “Lights Shine Bright”

You’ve probably heard Hollyn by herself with songs like “Alone” and “Can’t Live Without,” and if you’ve listened to KVNE for even only a day TobyMac has probably popped-up multiple times! So the 2 coming together in this summertime song was probably a no-brainer when Toby was putting together his latest album, “This is Not a Test.” Fun little fact if you didn’t know: for the last 20+ years Toby has co-owned the record label Gotee…which Hollyn is signed with!

Kim Walker-Smith, “Throne Room”

She’s a wife, mother, has been part of the worship team Jesus Culture for quite a few years (now President of their music label) AND has now dipped her foot into a solo project – Can we say power-woman!! If you’re like me, you might start to catch yourself trying to belt the chorus of this song in your car every time it comes on…and I ain’t ashamed to look like a fool 🙂
