Oh it's been awhile (which makes me sad because I love to blog...just don't do it as frequently as I need to). As I've been filling-in for the Afternoons, the schedule I use to have set-in-stone has been tossed out the window and re-configured in multiple ways. With that change has come a bigger challenge in trying to catch-up with friends, one-on-one girlfriend time. But finally it happened, on back-to-back mornings with 2 different friends, and it was REFRESHING! I think you can easily forget how rewarding it is to spend time with the people that matter in life until you actually do it. I know, you may be thinking, "Well Nikki, I have kids and errands to run and everything's a mess right now...." Stop the excuses right now! All of those excuses were wiped away by just one friend of mine on Tuesday: baby in hand, late from dropping her husband's lunch off that he forgot, and having to volunteer at a local nursery later on that morning, my friend still took the the time to have an hour breakfast with me and press pause. My mid-week challenge to you is to find the time to do this for your relationship with a friend. I'm not saying it has to be a daily thing, but once a month at least would be a breath of fresh air I believe - it was for me!
