Are you worried about our country? It’s a popular sentiment of late. There are a number of reasons why we could say yes. I won’t bother to list them here. You know what I’m talking about.
I know it would be easy to worry if you watched the news for more than five minutes. I also know Jesus said “don’t.”
In fact, He was quite emphatic about it in a number of places in the Bible. Here are just a few:
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” – Philippians 4:6-7
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34
“So don’t worry, because I am with you…” – Isaiah 41:10
Do a quick Google of the “Don’t worry” verses. You’ll be encouraged and comforted!
It may sound simple, but I’m good with that! I can use some simple.
God is faithful, consistent, and perfect. He’s our go-to in times of trouble!
What are some Bible verses that comfort you in times of need?
