God blesses us in so many ways. It can be easy for us to take for granted the many gifts He gives us. Here’s one I’d never considered before, and it came from the mouth of a four-year-old.

We take our grandson and his baby sister to church every week. It’s one of the biggest joys we know. One Sunday after Sunday School, Owen told us the teacher asked why we love Jesus.

“What did you say?” I asked.

“Because He loves us,” he answered.

“That’s right!” I said.

“Because He makes us feel better when we’re sick,” he continued.

“Very good!” I encouraged.

“And because He protects us from hot lava.”

“….You know what? You’re absolutely right!”

“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10
