My Dad…he’s the best! He’s been married to mom for close to 60 years and the last 10 he has cared for her full time. It’s been very difficult on him but he does it with such love and care. He makes sure she is the priority when a lot of times he needs to be. Whenever I called Dad at work he would always drop what he was doing and take my call…no matter what. Even to this day my kids are also the priority. He’s always taken an active role and interest in my kids’ lives. He’s a Godly man that has led his family that way. I look up and respect him tremendously. Love ya Dad!
FROM SUSAN O’
I was the youngest child and the only daughter of a single father. My dad cared for our mother through a lengthy battle with cancer – a battle she lost when I was just seven years old. For the last three years of her life, he never slept in a bed, but in a chair by her bedside so he was there if she needed him. He taught me about love and what a husband who loves unconditionally looks like. He was the strongest man I’ve known and he taught me about not giving up, and he made sure that I had a strong faith even when life was tough. That lesson got me through the hardest time of my life and I wouldn’t have known the strength without the lessons I learned simply watching my father live the life he was dealt and to live it with strength, grace and integrity.
FROM MIKE H.
My dad worked HARD! He modeled that work ethic and dedication to his family. He was a man of integrity who wasn’t free with his words, but when he spoke, you knew he meant it! I’ll always have the utmost respect and admiration for him. I love and miss him so much. Thanks, Dad, for your sacrifice and example of what it means to lead a family!
