You are fearfully and wonderfully made. ALL of God’s works are wonderful, and YOU are one of them.
In the Bible, 1st Peter talks about our obsession with beauty. It mentions braided hair, gold jewelry, and fine clothes – all outward things we do to make ourselves beautiful.
If you get depressed because you feel you don’t have those things, remember the kind of beauty that God says is of great worth in that verse:
A gentle and quiet spirit.
Get quiet with God today. Let Him tell you that you’re beautiful.
Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. -- 1 Peter 3:3-4
