I have an impossible situation. We’ve all got seemingly unsolvable issues. They can plague us daily. For my problems, I’ve got a new plan.
Here’s what I’m going to do.
I’m going to let it go.
Sure, it seems obvious. Sure, I should have done it years ago. Sure, it sounds like I might break into a song from “Frozen.” But no, I finally got it this time. I’m just going to let it go.
Starting NOW.
I can’t do anything about it anyway, right? After all, it’s an impossible situation, right? So I let it go. Whew! What a relief!
And when those disparaging thoughts return, and they always do, it’s already taken care of. God’s already got it, and I’ve already
let it go. I love it!
Because my mind is limited. It’s unstable. Oh, it does fine sometimes, but I can’t rely on it. It blows with the wind. This is the same brain that forgets why it walked in the room. Why would I count on it to be strong in a life crisis? This is why I need Him.
He’s really good at this stuff. He reminds me He’s here. He arranges circumstances for my good (even if it hurts). He speaks silently, but
unquestionably to my heart.
Thank you Lord! You’re everywhere, and you know everything. You’re faithful and loving. You give peace and healing. You’re perfect.
So when the storms blow, I let it go. Whether it’s a dilemma of my own doing or out of my control, I have a go-to. He’s on it. And guess what: It turns out He’s been there all along!
I’m just getting better at remembering.
