You may be having having difficulty with a situation, a relationship, or just peace in your life. The answer is can seem so illusive, yet is so available.
It’s hard to discern why sometimes, but our tendency is to avoid God’s word, unless we’ve developed a habit of reading it daily.
It’s amazing how difficult we make something that’s really so simple. Prioritizing Bible reading is as easy as anything else we do every day. We “know” it’s the answer, but we often don’t do what we know.
It’s a supernatural truth. Our illness may endure; our relationship trouble may remain; 0ur finances may still lack, but there’s something about consuming the content of God’s word that puts it in perspective, and gives us the wisdom and guidance to better handle any problem.
The Bible is known as a “Light for your path.” So when answers are illusive and you feel like you’re in the dark, the Word provides light so you can see the problem more accurately.
Give yourself 30 minutes a day. Read the gospels first. Reading about what Jesus did and what He said about the Kingdom of God is a fantastic way to reconnect with your faith and see the big picture. Our perceived troubles tend to pale in comparison.
Put it on your calendar. Make it a priority. After a few days you’ll have developed a habit, and even if your situation remains unchanged, your peace will increase, and your darkness will begin to turn into light!
“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105
