We mean well. We say nice things like, “The world needs love.” “All you need is love.” “Love, love, love.” Sounds good!
But we can’t do it.
We’re talking about human love, and it’s oh, so limited. So temporary. So conditional. It’s centered on self. We “love” people who love us. We “love” what makes us feel good. We “love” dessert.
But the Author of love created it for others. If we truly love, it’s unselfish. We wish the best for others. We even love the unlovable.
Only Jesus can do that. And He can do it through you.
Ask Him.
