Being a nice person isn’t tough. It doesn’t cost us anything and it’s actually what God calls to do (Ephesians 4:2). Sure, there are times when we have to set our pride aside to be humble. I know, I know… that’s the tough part.

Even when things are rough, random acts of kindness still go a long way. You may think nothing of them, but they are still powerful! I know I’ve had rough days that immediately improved when someone just smiled and waved at me and it just made my day!

The video below is so powerful! This shows how a simple act of kindness can change a person’s life, even when you have no idea they may have a problem. In the video, a seemingly hopeless man knocked on a door to ask for something to eat or drink, so the woman obliged and offered a glass of milk. What she didn’t know is that the milk represented hope for this man.

That’s exactly what the cross of Jesus Christ represents for all of us. Because of sin, we owed God, but what Jesus did on the cross paid that in full. You don’t have to worry about sin anymore because Christ defeated it! Just like the man with the glass of milk, you have hope!

Never underestimate what being kind can do for someone because you never what they’re going through. It just might save that person’s life and it may even save yours.

It’s not our job to fix that person, but it is our job to love them in the name of Jesus. Do that and let God take care of the rest.

If you know this will bless someone, please share it with them!
