Do you sometimes wonder what it means to trust God? I’m talking really trusting God. I know that God loves me and I know that He is good. But sometimes we Christians are more like unbelieving believers!? Okay, I know that sounds crazy. We trust God and His Word, but do we always lean on Him? I guess that’s what I’m trying to say.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

Unfortunately, we try to do it on our own. We usually ending up telling God how hard we’re trying. God wants us to put Him first in our lives. He wants us to put our confidence and trust in Him, all the time, in everything.

I still have a habit of trusting myself and others. Usually being let down by them and me. So why do I still try to do it on my own? Bad habit I guess.

Trust in Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, the Spirit of God will live inside you. This means you don’t have to go through someone else to get to God. He dwells in your heart and you can learn to hear His voice. There’s nothing like knowing that our God is in you and everything will be alright!
