Have you ever had a recipe not turn out right? One time I was making cookies and I forgot to put in the flour. Imagine when I opened the oven to see an eggy, milky mess all over the cookie sheet.

There was only one thing to do: Start over.

If your life is a mess right now, it might be because you are missing a key ingredient, and the only thing you can do is start over. It’s simple to do.

Add this prayer: “God, I return to you. Will you give me one bit of direction right now?”

Keep praying that prayer. Keep adding that ingredient.

The steadfast love of the Lᴏʀᴅ never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22–23)
