Carrie Parsons 89.5 KVNE Mornings

Hey, it’s Carrie from the KVNE Morning Show. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for the Valentines that YOU made for kids in the hospital and seniors in assisted living centers!

We had an amazing time yesterday delivering those valentines. Mike and I went to a lot of the hospitals, and after that we went to some assisted living centers & senior centers.

We got some feedback today, which was so great, and I wanted to share it with you. On our Facebook page we heard from Tess. She said

“This is what your Valentines drive looked like in action” and she posted a picture of her husband, who received valentines at Watkins Logan Veterans home here in Tyler. It was JOY, pure joy on his face, and it was amazing!

Mike and I went to UT Health Center in Tyler and we met a gentleman who is 87 years old. His daughter-in-law was there as well and we got this note from her on our Facebook page:

We’ve been in the ER and at the hospital with my 87-year-old father-in-law since yesterday afternoon.  After a scary afternoon yesterday and a long night last night, he just had the sweetest delivery💌…..homemade valentine cards from you and your listeners! What a huge and wonderful blessing!!❤️💜💗 He poured over each and every one for probably 30 minutes…commenting on the Bible verses, the cute stickers, the pictures & messages, and how beautiful they were. We are blown away by your thoughtfulness for people struggling in the hospital, and we didn’t want it to go unsaid. Please tell everyone involved how much we appreciate them, and thank them for spreading lots of love today (even to people they don’t know)! ❤️

Happy Valentine’s Day from us!

So, again, THANK YOU so much for making homemade Valentines! We had an amazing time. More than 32,000 Valentines!

That’s a big number, but when you think about that one person getting that one Valentine, they each got about 20, but that one that touches their heart and reminds them that God loves them…that’s because of you, so thank you very much. God bless you!
