Hey everybody! Your neighborhood Music-picking-lady here to let you know a little more about the new music you may have been hearing this week at KVNE.

First, as always, even though I make final call on the music added, I HIGHLY take into consideration what you think. That’s why it’s important to be part of the KVNE Music Crew, it gives us here at the station a station to know what you like, don’t like, and think it’s time to give a song a rest. The next online survey goes out next week, so sign-up HERE

Now, onto the New Music…

Kutless, “King of My Heart”

Not to be confused with the Love & the Outcome song, this one is being sung at quite a few churches around the US, and yes, even some here in East TX (I know I’ve sung it during a few Sundays so far). Kutless decided to get back to some of their worship roots with this song, without losing a little of their rock edge they’ve had for almost 20 years (2019 will be their anniversary). And a big congratulations to them for being one of the only Christian bands who recently was named in the Top Oregon Bands with the Most Hit Albums (they ranked #7)!

MercyMe, “Even If”

Once again MercyMe has not only put together a hard-hitting first single with this song, but they make you feel ALL kinds of emotions with their new CD, “Lifer.”  I like to call this track the male version of Laura Story’s “Blessings,” getting down to the reality that not everything in life will be easy, okay, or happy, yet God still reigns in all of it. You may be able to see this one performed live if you catch them on the road with Jeremy Camp and Natalie Grant starting in July

Mallary Hope, “Now”

Even though the name may not sound familiar, Mallary is no stranger to performing and being part of the music scene. She started writing and singing on the the Country Music side of things back in 2009, even putting out a few songs on the radio. Since then she’s helped other artists co-write songs, and finally came back into the performing side of things this past year. She wanted to get into Christian Music this time though, really delving into her faith and sharing that with others. If you want to get to know Mallary and her heart a little more, she does Facebook Live videos every Monday and Friday!
