89.5 KVNE Mornings
Our 18-month-old granddaughter Elliott lives in Keller, Texas. She finally made her first appearance to meet the staff at KVNE recently to great fanfare. Of course, her 5-year-old brother Owen was there to coordinate the photo opps and merchandise table.
We played a little Cornhole, the game where you toss bean bags into a hole for points. KVNE President Troy was particularly entertaining with the kids.
We had a lot of laughs while Owen repeatedly deflected all his tosses, thereby “letting Pops win.” I was totally on board with my grandson’s loyalty.
After we left, Owen asked me, “What was that man’s name?” I said, “That’s Mr. Troy. He’s my boss.”
Looking puzzled, he asked, “Are you serious? …Why doesn’t he win more games?”
