Why is KVNE “YOUR CHRISTMAS STATION” every year?

KVNE plays what we call an A/C format of Christian music, but at Christmas we change to all Christmas music. Traditional and classics like Jingle bells and Silver bells, Rockin’ around the Christmas tree or taking a Sleigh Ride mixed with Silent night, O Holy night or little Drummer Boy, for example. So, many people want to know WHY?

It’s very simply a great evangelism tool. The proven way to get people who would not typically choose to listen to a “Christian” station to join us for the Christmas music.

While they listen to our play list of sacred and fun traditional Christmas music, they will also hear the true reason for the season.

They will hear the story of the birth of the Savior..the reason Jesus came to earth. It has been proven year after year that more and more people join the KVNE listening family because of Christmas and the 30-Day Challenge.

Not everyone wants all of that Christmas — we understand. Our KVNE mobile app offers a feature so you can listen to our normal music programming – choose the Christmas music stream or you can even choose KGLY that is softer but Christmas music free.
