89.5 KVNE Mornings
Hey, it’s Carrie from the KVNE Morning Show! You know, we’re celebrating 35 years of ministry here at KVNE and was thinking about how many letters we’ve received telling us what the ministry means to you. In fact, we got one recently from Jan in Longview and I wanted to share it with you. She actually entitled her note to us “You Are My Mother’s Witness.” She says:
My mother moved into a local memory care facility over five years ago. She often shared Scripture, encouraging words, and Bible based lessons with the workers there.
As she has declined, she is not able to do this. She is 95 and very frail. About the time she went on hospice care last summer, we started playing KVNE in her room 24/7. The nurses and caregivers often sing along to Mama. I have heard one woman say, “When I go in her room, it makes me feel calm.” It has occurred to me that KVNE is enabling Mama to still have a Christian witness to the people around her. Thank you!
Thank you for the encouragement you are to me. I have listened from the beginning.
In His love,
Jan
Longview
Thank you Jan for sharing that note, and thank you for supporting KVNE for all of these years…35 years…thanks you!
