You don’t have to enjoy baseball to enjoy the game! #ThatWillPreach

My wife Lois and I are huge Texas Rangers fans. Well, actually we’re normal size, but you get my meaning.

We went to the Mother’s Day game where we had great seats, got a free Mother’s Day scarf, and saw an awesome game. A Ranger victory! What we didn’t expect was another show of its own.

He didn’t look too out of the ordinary, but he did have a bit of a glow about him. Young, with cool-looking shades and a big tray of hot dogs strapped to his body, the vendor made his way to the front of our section. Leaning way back, he let forth the loudest call for hot dogs ever known to man, let alone baseball.

“HOOOOOOOOOOOOOT DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

His ear-piercing shriek sounded painful, but he finished with a big toothy grin that delighted the several hundred spectators within earshot of his sales scream. All of section 33 gave him a standing ovation. He took a bow, and one by one, began his ballpark frank transactions.

Perhaps he’s a theatre major. Maybe he’s a pill to live with at home. And I’m sure, like all of us, he has his share of problems. But one thing is certain: I’ve seldom seen anyone put as much into his or her job! May the same be said of all of us!
